Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered Lutheran education that nurtures each child’s faith, curiosity, and love for learning. Through a strong foundation in God’s Word, academic excellence, and the development of critical thinking, creativity, and character, we will equip children to serve faithfully, lead confidently, and thrive in a changing world.
About our School
We are a Christ-centered learning community where every child is seen as a unique creation of God, capable of growth, wonder, and purpose. Rooted in Lutheran values, we blend child-led exploration, small group learning, and classical education with joyful engagement to inspire lifelong learners who are spiritually grounded, academically curious, and compassionately connected to the world around them. We will also work with the board, congregation, and parents of the students to provide a community where all people feel welcome and acknowledged.

Unique Environment
In a mixed-age classroom, students of various ages learn together in one setting. With this approach, students take in different perspectives and contribute in ways that reflect their individual strengths. It’s a thoughtful approach that values progress, participation, and the natural differences in how children learn.
At Ascension Lutheran School, we will utilize mixed-age classrooms for the growth and development of the school and the student.

Faith-Based Education
We are a Lutheran (LCMS) institution and as such we will be using curriculum that supports and encourages the Lutheran faith. Children will be given a weekly religion lesson and daily reminders that God has created each child to be a unique creation capable of growth, wonder, and purpose.

Multi-Strategy Learning
Our classrooms are designed to encourage creativity, curiosity, and confidence through play-based discovery, hands-on activities, and meaningful work. Allowing children to discover the joy of learning.
Our teachers act as compassionate guides, fostering a safe and supportive environment where children feel valued, respected, and free to be themselves, honoring each child as a unique gift from God and encouraging them to grow into their fullest potential.
